Luis Rebouta is currently Associate Professor at the Physics Department of Minho University. As a researcher at the CFUM, he led and participated in more than twenty research projects. The main activities have been focused on the synthesis and characterization of different types of coatings mainly deposited by reactive magnetron sputtering, such as, solar radiation absorbers for high temperature application, transparent and conductive coatings for energy applications, passive radiative selective cooling coatings, miniaturized temperature sensors, optical coatings, deposition of metallic nanoparticles created in super-saturated gaseous atmospheres, modelling of the thin film optical properties, etc.. He has also experience in the design and assembly of deposition equipment. He led a research line devoted to the LiDAR sensor testing in the framework of the UMinho-Bosch project “Sensible Car”. He supervised several PhD and Master's students. He held several management positions, such as director of the Physics department, Director of the CF-UM-UP research centre and director of the Physics Engineering course. He is co-author of 146 journals publications, with a h factor of 43, with more than 5100 citations (Scopus), and 7 patents.  ORCID: 0000-0002-2635-9017   Scopus: 7003449734;
